The Benefits of Starting Early
If you want to give your child the gift of music, the preschool age is the perfect time to start. The Music Makers class is a perfect preparation for the Beginning Piano Classes, and allow children to begin to develop their sense of pitch and rhythm and to recognize musical symbols.
About Music Makers
In this weekly 45-minute class, parent and child participate together: playing rhythm instruments (bells, sticks, triangles, tambourines, castanets, woodblocks, drums, etc.), moving to music, singing, and developing fine motor skills through finger plays and keyboard playing. I have been teaching piano lessons for over 25 years. I got my training in early childhood music education at the Art City Music Academy in Springville, Utah, and now I teach their Mighty Musicians curriculum out of my home studio in Sandy, Utah. I love music, I love teaching, and I love kids!
